Bursa Youth Council is a platform which works under the roof of Local Agenda 21   and sturggles to make  young people to  help how to solve city problems. It can also helps young citizens to be a solving tool of all kind of city trooubles instead of being a trouble. It encourages youngs to enforce social aims and potantial ones and it also makes them owner of some rights on environmantal and progressive issues.This council makes youngs sensitive in their rights and responsibilities to make Bursa a liveable city. 

Due to establishing Youth Council and Youth House Local Agenda 21 Youth Working Group , established in 1996, has made 3 prep meetings since 1999. Then  , in 22th January 2001 , they decided to make 4. Formation Meeting Of Bursa Youth Council. Participants of this meeting were approximately 250 and they were coming from : 2 participants from Consulting Committee, 2 from secondary schools and universities and participants from civil social organizations. At this meeting ,due to organize the rules of organization , Youth Council Executive Committee was chosen. And this committee was replaced with permanent one by the votes of council in 2nd April,2001. Bursa Youth Council with its increasing members day by day is maintaining its projects in Local Agenda 21 House.

Aims;

With the principles of Atatürk, as an “Enterprising – Thinker – Productive – Progressive” youth; 

a)      To make young citizens more active to find solving ways about city problems and to make them taken place in governmental statues,

b)      To maintain projects about Bursa under the control of “Sustainable Progress”, 

c)      To represent Bursa Youth in city,national and international grade, 

d)      To improve possess sense and identity about city, 

e)      To make youth more self-thinking people, 

f)        To encourage youngs to be more beneficial to both his/her country and all the world, to make them productive,thinker and enterprising people in all terms of life by using thecnological devices and following processes in science, 

g)      To make youth take part in all scientific,thecnological,artistic,cultural and social activities, 

h)      To make youth attain qualifications about working and living together, 

i)        To find beneficial ways to consume youth’s energy, to make plans that includes young people, 

j)        To make young people respectful to other people’s rights and environment.
